Habitat -
The Eastern Timber Wolf, has at one time occupied most habitats and topography except deserts and extremely high mountain top. Including forest edges, swamps and secondary growth Boreal forests and areas interspersed with woodland openings and fields. The Eastern Timber Wolf was virtually exterminated by the early 1900's through out its historic range in the northeastern United States. Though there are occasional sightings in the Northeast and a shooting of a Wolf there is no evidence of breeding from this sub species in the Northeast.
